About Wajir-North Constituency

Wajir North Constituency is an electoral constituency in Kenya. It is one of six constituencies in Wajir County. The constituency has seven wards, all electing councillors to the Wajir County Council. The constituency was established for the 1997 elections.
The current Member of parliament is Hon. Ahmed Abdisalan

Wajir North sits at a latitude and longitude of 01°45′00″N 40°03′00″E. (Latitude:1.75000; Longitude:40.05000).on the Kenyan map. Wajir North constituency has Seven wards namely Danaba, Batalu , Malkagufu, Bute, Godoma,Gurar and Korondile Wards.. The consitituency has a population of 181,069 land area of 8,303.80km2 and a population density of 15 as per the 2019 survey figures.
